Hi! I am Elina, a high school student.

Not so long ago, I started to question whether I truly understand if the medical career is for me, as I had been imagining for a while. I wasn’t sure what the work really involved, and I realized I had never explored the wide range of career paths in medicine or beyond.

In school, we don’t have a visible way to connect with professionals or explore careers. A lot of students feel lost or just follow pressure from parents or peers. Some pick classes based on what sounds impressive on their application without really knowing what fits them. Others delay making decisions because they don’t know where to start.

The idea for the Career Connection Club grew from conversations with my mom, where we talked about my interests and the lack of resources for career exploration. I realized that many students - including me - would benefit from hearing directly from people in the field: doctors, engineers, artists, lawyers, and more.

This club is my way of building a bridge between students and professionals. I’ll invite local experts to share their stories and answer our questions. I hope it helps students make smarter academic choices and feel less overwhelmed by the future.
